Regulation Concerning the Amendment Made on Electricity Market Eligible Consumer Regulation' entered into force after being published in the Turkish Official Gazette Issue No.28589 dated 16.03.2013.
Accordingly;


- Becoming eligible consumer with “Demand Aggregation Method” is abolished. Therefore, the electricity meters of the eligible consumers, that made an application for eligible consumer registration by “demand aggregation method” in 1st April 2013 period, not exceeding the eligible consumer limit as a stand-alone unit shall not be considered in the evaluation.


- Due to the rescission of provisional clause 4, eligible consumer application period shall be put into practice monthly as of 1 April 2013.

Resolution of the Board concerning invoicing of charges such as Power/Power Excess Charges, Reactive Energy Charges, and Electricity Meter Dismantling/Installation Charges to CONSUMERS by the SUPPLIERS is published.

Charges such as Power/Power Excess Charge, Reactive Energy Charge, Meter Charge are began to be invoiced to the CONSUMERS by the SUPPLIERS as of January 2013 period, with the 4th paragraph of 26th Article of Resolution No.4913 of the Board published in Official Gazette on 18.12.2012 (Charges such as Distribution Charge, Meter Reading Charge, Transmission Charge, Loss/Illegal Electricity, Power Charge, Power Excess Charge and Reactive Energy Charge applied to the distribution system users indicated in (1), (2), (3) paragraphs of this Article are invoiced to the suppliers of the consumers).   

 

Electricity rates applicable as of 01.01.2013 are published.

Electricity rates approved with the EMRB Resolution No.4051 dated 30.09.2012 shall be continued to be applied also as of 01.01.2013 with the MRB Resolution No.4214 dated 27.12.2012.

Resolution of the Energy Market Regulatory Board concerning 'Resale prices to be applied in the event of transformation of eligible consumers purchasing energy from other suppliers into commissioned retail companies’ is published.

Resolution No.4190 concerning ‘'Resale prices to be applied in the event of transformation of eligible consumers purchasing energy from other suppliers into commissioned retail companies’ is made and published in the Official Gazette on 25.12.2012.

Electricity Price List applicable as of 1 October 2012 is published.

New electricity price list approved by the Energy Market Regulatory Board (EMRB) and applicable as of 1 October 2012 is announced. Electricity prices are increased by 4%-7% for the industry and 9% for the business organizations with the new price list.

While the energy cost for the consumers purchasing energy from TEDAŞ did not change with the new price list, an increase of 1% to 3% is made for the System Usage Cost applied to the companies obtaining electricity from the private companies.

Also, independent from the consumption amount, the Meter Reading Charge shall start to be applied as a fixed amount according to the connection point of consumption installation being either Low Voltage or Medium Voltage in January 2012 price list (AG==>0,42, OG==>4,1 TL/Subscriber). This change in Meter Reading Charge, which was applied as 0,001035 TL/kWh in October 2011 price list, means a decrease for the subscribers with high consumption, and an increase for the subscribers consuming less than 400 kWh.

Energy Market Regulatory Board (EMRB) regulated the code of practice for the electricity loss applicable as of 1/8/2011

Measuring system implementation for the subscribers having private transformer, and Transformer No Load Loss implementation for the subscribers on transformer outlets began as of 1/8/2011 with the changes made on code of practice for Electricity Losses.

13th Environmental Service Award organized by Akdeniz University is granted to ICDAS in Turkey.

The competition organized by Akdeniz University Engineering Faculty and Environmental Issues Research and Application Centre (AKCAM)   to raise the environmental consciousness and to encourage the sustainable environmental solutions implementations is aiming to create a livable world. AKCAM Chairman Prof. Dr. Bülend Topkaya, stating that they have acted very selectively in line with this objective, complemented ICDAS for its exemplary environmental investments and implementations in heavy industry sector.

In his speech, also the rector Prof. Dr. Israfil Kurtcephe, giving examples from Ataturk’s environmental approach, stated that the mission of the universities is to leave behind a very clean air, water and soil to our children.

Receiving the award on behalf of ICDAS and stating that ICDAS breaking many new grounds in its sector with its environmental implementations and being an exemplary facility in our country said: “This award is a meaningful response to our sustainable environmental efforts. I would like to extend my thanks to Akdeniz University”.

Certificate of appreciation is given to ICDAS for its contributions in cultural and sportive activities, in the construction of elevator for disabled in Canakkale Naval Museum, and for its contribution to 18 March Canakkale Martyrs’ Day.
